Who's your super hero?

What's that in the sky??
It's a Bird!
It's A Plane!
It's..............................
 BATGIRL!
Protector from evil and ice cream treats!  One trip to Walmart for a bike helmet and we leave as a SUPERHERO!

As you all know I am completely in love with my little girl.  I love to watch her play with all her stuffed animals, listen to her hum as she eats her dinner, tell her funny little stories.......I could go on and on.  But most importantly she has saved me in so many ways.

Along with this guy

Yep, believe it or not this guy is one of my superheroes as well.  Hey I never said he was sane!
This week we are contemplating being a cop.  Yep we are on a cop kick.  If you know my Jeffy you know I am a wife of a scuba diver, Coast Guard Guy, Fisherman, Marine Biologist, CSI,  Cop, Firefighter, EMT, Shoe salesman, Lowe's Employee, Mechanic, truck driver........hmmmmm.......the list goes on and on.  One day he will find what he is looking for.  I don't care what he is or how much money he makes..........the most important title to me is Best Daddy and Hubby.
We make a crazy couple.  We really do!   We are so not right that it actually works!  Alot of people hated the fact that we got married or have been together so long.  Yeah we took a two year hiatus,  but we are back and even better than ever.  He has stood by me through thick and thin......literally!

Who else is my superhero?
Well this lady for shizzle.......

My mommy and I have this weird deep connection with Mary.  She is our goto gal.  I have said so many Hail Mary's in my life I think I probably could say it frontwards, backwards, sideways and upside down.  She brings me calm,  peace, and divine intervention when my life gets a little overwhelming.  I always believed that you have to believe and have faith in something bigger than yourself.  It humbles you and let's you believe in something so great and so much grander than your life as you know it.  Shit, I don't care if you worship a rock........having faith in something is so important..........especially yourself!

So who's your superhero?
Do they smell like Rice Krispy treats(which are so deceptively hard to make by the way) and dress up in a costume from Walmart?
Maybe they are a 37 year old man who wears a Burger King crown around the house and dream all day long of what they want to be when they grow up?
Or perhaps it's that divine Rock in the sky that puts your life in perspective.
BUT you know who it should be??

YOU!
Be your own superhero! Be a DOER!  Don't wait for someone or something to come and rescue you from your great dilemma in life!!  Have faith in YOURSELF.  Not in other people or things.
Rescue yourself from your thoughts, words, actions.  Make the decision to change your life! If you are not happy, don't get mad at other people for the life you are living.   Focus your energy on making the change and not on setting the blame.

SO, put on your supercape and become a SUPERHERO to yourself!
You just might become someone else's on the way!

Back to cleaning the Bat Cave!
Much Love,
Beth

Through Thick and Through Thin

Were you ever so overwhelmed with disappointment, stress,  worry, confusion that you forget to catch the beautiful life that happens right before you?  As most of you know I am a pretty darn optimistic person with a "rose colored glass" theory on life. And  it happened.  The dark underworld of life crept up on me and stole my joy!  I felt so beat, sad, hurt about the life I had been dealt this year.  I was MAD!!

Then, as we were walking home from the pool last night, Jeff and I realized it doesn't matter what life is handing us.  We are together. A family. Is there anything more important than that?  No money, home, job, or people can beat that!  And we were letting all these outside forces cloud our vision of our beautiful life   TOGETHER!
Sometimes when we are stressed we just need to release it to the forces that be and trust that karma,  GOD, and love will fight our battles for us so we may enjoy what is important in life.

Jeff and I have a saying:
DEVIL! YOUR NOT GOING TO WIN THIS ONE!
And just by saying it outloud empowers us to remember our love for each other, the pride in our little girl, and the happiness we know that is out there
.
Some words of wisdom I live by:
Do unto others
You teach people how to treat you
Law of attraction
My Wedding Vows
Lord's Prayer

Remembering all these things  and living life according to them makes me feel confident I am trying to be a good person and "do the right thing."  When I stear away, that's when I know that something is going to come around and bite me right in the patookis!!

So instead of holding in all the anxiety of life and spreading your misery and sadness,   let the powers that be take care of it so you can move on and enjoy the beautiful life right in front of you!

Much Love,
Beth

Remembering to breathe!

In and Out! In and Out! In and Out!
Ever had those days when your life seems like a big fat mess?? Nothing is going right, you can't find your keys, the dog needs to go out, and your kid wants to play Horse Games on the computer for the gadzillionth time, all while having to pee so bad you just might not make it!!

Well, one simple little excercise has gotten me through these kinds of days.

BREATHE

Such an instinctive act that we probably don't think about it much but it sometimes slips my mind in days of stress I forget to do it. So much so I actually have the word tattooed to the inside of my wrist as a reminder!

So many times we just need to take a pause, a brief second to remember to suck in a beautiful breathe of fresh air and blow out all the stress and craziness. This one simple act of life can make or break ant situation! But how many times do we forget to do it?

We get so caught up in the hustle and bustle of life that we forget to stop and smell the flowers!! (Yet, another excercise in breathing! )

I am infamous for taking five minute "power naps." My hubby and daughter know when I say I am going for a power nap I am not to be disturbed. It is code for
"Mommy needs five minutes to herself or she might just go ballistic!!"

And that is all it takes for me to be civil again. So, what do I do in those five minutes? I lay my head down, I clear my mind from all the worries of life and I regain my strength to continue on my day. A breather. Five minutes of no one needing something from me. Me time. Some may disagree but it is really the most unselfish act. It is so you can be the best "you" for your family, for yourself, and for life.

We all need to slow down! Put on the breaks!! And......

STOP

Inhale........

hold it........

holdit........

and blow out all your worries!
And with each glorious breathe of fresh air your spirit will be renewed and refreshed!!

Take time for you today so you can be recharged!

You'll be glad you did!
(and so will your poor family!)

Much Love,
Beth

Releasing!! (ok this might be a little TMI but let's face it......I don't care!)

ok, so let's cut to the chase......the topic today is poopin'
(ewwww gross!! Beth your such a pig!! TMI!! )

So as I usually do once a week I get extremely constipated and pray to the poopin gods to, for the love of mercy, to please let me POOP! Well today was a winner let me tell you and it even brought me to tears!! But once you get the final relief....it is so stress relieving!! AND, you might want to run around wildly in your yard like my dog does after her poops!! But what a metaphor for life!!

GET RID OF THE POOP AND YOU WILL BE SET FREE!

I have had the most stressful week/month and I am slowly releasing my anxiety and stress. Whether I go to church and release my worries, go for a walk in hopes to be too tired to worry afterwards :), or just spend sometime with the best seven year old girl in the whole wide world, little by little I am coming back to life!! Sometimes things are way out of our control and that is when you need to take a deep breathe and have faith that everything will be ok.

And remember following your heart and not getting caught up in the facts that fog your dreams is NEVER a bad thing. Living in the "what if's", not taking a chance, and letting FEAR disable you will always leave you with the feelings of regret. Sometimes you just need to spread your wings and hope to catch the most glorious breeze that will lead you to happiness and joy!!

So Dream the biggest Dreams!! Love with all your Heart no matter what!! And, Release all the negative POO in your life!!

oh and any advice on the poopin would be greatly appreciated!

Much Love-
Beth
